Registration

The fleet manager records in CarVita the driver's personal data, the drivers licence information, and the number of verifications desired. This one-time process only takes a few minutes of time. Next, an eLicence chip is attached to the licence. An internationally unique serial number guarantees the chip is absolutely counterfeit-proof. The eLicence chip can be removed without any residue from the drivers licence, at which point however it loses its validity.

Automatic reminders

As soon as the next licence verification is due, the driver automatically receives an SMS or e-mail reminder from CarVita. The first reminder is generally sent three weeks before the verification date and is repeated weekly, but this interval can be set individually for each employee.

Electronic verification

At the next opportunity, the driver goes to the eLicence Station, the licence reader device. You will either be provided with the eLicence readers or have the opportunity to rent them for a modest fee. Ideal locations for the readers are entrance areas or wherever the driver cards for truck drivers are received.

Documentation

The licence reader communicates all verification procedures directly to CarVita and assigns them to the respective driver. The data can be viewed and printed out at any time. The reminders and warnings that have been issued can also be listed if required.

Timely alerts

Alerts are sent from CarVita to the supervisor or vehicle fleet manager via e-mail if a driver has not presented their licence at a verification station by the specified date. This allows you enough time to take additional action to verify drivers licences for company vehicle operation. All past-due verifications are displayed in CarVita and can be printed out as needed. Former employees are not dropped by the system but rather listed as inactive and remain there for an extended period of time.
